First Official Day of Summer for Us

Today was the first official day of summer for us! The first day with no school that is!

We had a very busy day today, filled with activities! We had a laid back morning in jammies, watching television, building a fort and playing card games. The kids both like Old Maid and Go Fish.

Then the kids rode their four wheelers outside while Mommy sewed patches onto Bella's Daisy vest. So far, she has 4 "fun patches" - Birthday, Ice Skating, Ballet and Washington, DC, along with the four petals she earned with her troop this year!

Then it was off to play golf! Trey is really enjoying his lessons with Mr. Butch. He is really great with both kids, and even teaches Bella a bit!

Then it was home for lunch and Mommy school. We really want to make sure the kids maintain their current levels of math, writing and reading! Mommy read Junie B Jones and the Mushy Gushy Valentine's to the kids, they wrote in their journals and did some penmanship pages.

After more playing, and dinner, Trey and Bella read bedtime stories to Mommy! Trey read two Henry and Mudge books while Bella read an Annie and Snowball Book and a Dr. Seuss Book. They did a great job!

Mommy is looking forward to the rest of the summer!
