Another Christmas

For those who are following, Trey and Bella wanted to let you know that Daddy's spinal tap has been scheduled for January 12th.

Trey and Bella had another "Christmas" today! This celebration was with the extended "D'Amico" family! Trey and Bella had lots of fun with cousins Olivia, Stephanie, Kimberley, Andrea and Luka.

New Toys

Trey and Bella had a great time with all of the new toys in their playroom today!

Bella got 3 new teeth today! Her bottom right lateral incisor, and her left and right top first molars!

Daddy played with Trey and Bella this evening while Mommy and a girls night out with her graduate school friends!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

Trey and Bella spent Christmas Morning at home with Mommy and Daddy. We opened presents from Santa, had breakfast and went to Mass! Trey and Bella got lot of things from Santa but their favorites are a kitchen, a play house, a lawn mower and a stroller for dolls!

After this, our family went to Grandmom's house, where Trey and Bella were spoiled once again and had Christmas dinner with the family. A few of the gifts they received were the peek-a-zoo, sit n spin, trucks, little people, doll babies and a new stroller for them to ride in!

Bella got a new tooth today, which makes 8 teeth! It is her left bottom 1st molar.

Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve!

Trey and Bella went to Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house for a Christmas celebration!They had a great time and were very spoiled. A few of the gifts they received were an Elmo tool bench, a baby care center and TJ Beary Tales!

Day with Mommy's Friends

Trey and Bella met Mommy's friend Kelly today as well as Mommy's friend Amy and her baby son Frank V. It was lots of fun!

Christmas Party

Trey and Bella went to Daddy's work today for a Christmas party! Trey didn't seem to feel well, but Bella had a ball!

Daddy got his bloodwork done today and everyone is now waiting to hear when his spinal tap will take place.

"Graduation day"

Trey and Bella were released from Early Intervention today. They had their official evaluation were able to complete all of the tasks appropriate for their actual age. They will miss their "teacher" Miss Donna very much! Donna gave them a lovely book to remember her by.

Daddy does have papilladema, or pressure on the brain. Bloodwork needs to be done and then a spinal tap can be scheduled.

Tubes

Bella had her appointment with the ENT today. We scheduled her surgery to have her tubes put in for January 8, 2007.

Trey and Bella had a play date and lunch with Skyler and Raina today!

Tests and shots

Bella had her hearing test today. She does have mild hearing loss. It is unclear as to whether it is caused by the chronic ear infections or by the antibiotics she had while in the NICU. There is also a great deal of fluid in her ears causing her eardums to remain still rather than vibrating.

Trey and Bella got their second dose of flu shot today.

Cookie Day

Today was cookie making day at the Damico House!

Trey and Bella also got their photo taken today with cousin Evan for Grandmom's birthday!

Breakfast with Santa

Mommy and Daddy took Trey and Bella to the Annual South Jersey Mothers of Multiples Breakfast wtih Santa today! Grandmom, Mom Mom, Pop Pop, Aunt Kim, Aunt Desiree, Evan and Olivia came too! It was so much fun!

Results

Trey and Bella were very happy to hear that Daddy's tests came back clear! Now, on to finding out what is causing the problem.

Visiting the NICU

Trey and Bella went to visit the staff at the NICU and the Ante-partum unit today while Daddy had his MRI and MRV done. They were very well behaved and everyone loved seeing them!

Playgroup Gifts

Trey and Bella each opened their first Christmas present today. Bella got a puzzle from Skyler and Trey got a firetruck from Owen! They were very excited!

ENT Visit

Bella had an appointment with the ENT today. She needs further testing to decide whether or not she needs tubes in her ears, but it looks like she does.

Alone Time

Mommy figured out that Miss Bella likes her alone time.

When we put her in the crib for bed time, she play with and talked to her bear and her Eeoyre for an hour and a half, never crying once, just playing. She always plays by herself when she wakes up in the morning as well, before "calling" Mommy and Daddy to come get her.

Day 3 of Bella's fever. It is going down a bit now though.

Poor Trey now has a fever of 102.5 and vomited. Mommy called the Doctor and the on call person thinks it might be the stomach virus or just a result of the bad cough since its so many days after the shots!

Mommy and Daddy hope they both feel better soon!

Sick babies

Trey and Bella both have a cough and runny nose today. Yikes!

Fever

Bella developed a fever of almost 102 today. Hopefully its just from the vaccinations.

15 Months Old

Trey and Bella are 15 months old today!

Mommy was up most of the night with Trey. He is really teething and having a hard time with it. Mommy and Daddy were very surprised Bella slept through it all. She must have been tired since she was up a lot the night before! They have both gone from sleeping through the night to waking up again. The Pediatrician said that both have teeth coming in and to bear with them.

Trey and Bella had their "15 month" check up today! Both are doing very well.

Trey weighs 18 pounds exactly and is 30 inches long (3/4 inch less than at the NICU follow up! We measured twice today, so that one must have been off a little). His head circumference is 46 centimeters. This puts Trey in the 25th percentile for height and head circumference, but he is still not on the growth chart for weight, so he is considered "less than 3rd percentile".

Bella weighs 16 pounds exactly and is 29 inches long! Her head circumference is 46 1/2 centimeters. This puts Bella in the 25th percentile for height and the 50th percentile for head circumference, but she is still not on the growth chart for weight, so she is considered "less than 3rd percentile".

Trey has some new teeth coming in on the bottom and Bella has a new tooth coming in on the bottom in addition to a few molars. The Doctor said this is most likely why they have been having a hard time sleeping and recommeded giving them some motrin or tylentol if it helps.

Trey and Bella also each got 3 vaccinations. Bella knew exactly where we were as soon as we entered the ecam room. She cried from then until we left the building. Trey was very brave. He barely whimpered when we got his shots, but he screamed while Bella was getting hers - he was trying to reach for her. He's being a good big brother already!

Trey and Bella have another appointment for their second dose of the flu shot on the 19th of December. Their next check up with Dr. Dave is at the end of February. If they are not in for a sick visit in January, the Doctor would like us to bring them in for a weight check to make sure they continue to grow!

Trey and Bella stayed with Mom Mom and Pop Pop in the morning while Mommy and Daddy hit the "Black Friday" sales. Then, they went shopping with Mommy and Grandmom. In the evening Daddy stayed with Trey and Bella while Mommy did more shopping with Aunt Dani and Grandmom. It was an exhausting day!

Bella woke up with a runny nose today.

Happy Thanksgiving! Today is Trey and Bella's Second Thanksgiving!
While Daddy went to play football, Mommy took Trey and Bella to see Grandmom and Aunt Kimberly!

After this, the family had dinner at Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house! Trey and Bella had lots of fun!

Doctor's Visit

Trey and Bella went to the Doctor today!

Bella had an ear check to make sure her ear infection is gone and it is!

Trey has a cough so Mommy and Daddy wanted to get him checked before the Thanksgiving holiday. He has a sore throat and a bad cough. The Doctor said it will most likely get worse before it gets better. Trey is not contagious and can continue with our Thanksgiving plans unless he gets a fever.

Trey and Bella helped Mommy with some Christmas shopping today!

Hershey...Day 3

Trey and Bella had breakfast and then went shopping at the Hershey outlets! Then it was lunch at Applebees, the long car ride to Mom Mom and Pop Pop's, picking up Cara and Mia and then another car ride home! Trey and Bella were tired by bedtime!

Hershey...Day 2

After breakfast, everyone went to a few stores at the Hershey Outlets, then had lunch at Chocolate World, followed by lots of fun at Hershey Park! Trey and Bella did not want to take naps, but finally relented in the stroller!

Trey and Bella were not happy when Mommy and Daddy put them on Santa's lap! They liked looking at him but did not want him to touch them! They got their photo taken with Santa and Cousin Evan, but Trey and Bella sat behind Santa on his big couch!

After Santa photos, Trey and Evan decorated cookies while Bella took a nap. Then we went on a Holiday Trolley ride through Hershey, PA. After this, everyone had dinner at Red Robin and then went on a ride through Hershey Sweet Lights! Trey and Bella fell asleep right after dinner, so they missed all the beautiful lights! Perhaps next year!

Hershey

Daddy took the day off today and Mommy and Daddy took Trey and Bella to Hershey, Pennsylvania where we met up with Grandmom, Aunt Kim and Cousin Evan. Cara and Mia stayed with Mom Mom and Pop Pop!

Trey and Bella were very well behaved on the long car ride! We ate dinner and then went swimming at the hotel!

New words

Trey and Bella did great at Early Intervention today. They were both walking and talking!

Trey said several new words, including "this", "tigger", and "peek-a-boo".

Bella said several new words too, including "tigger" and "peek" and "Mom".

Lots of Tots!

Three cheers for Mommys of 1 year olds! Mommy took Trey and Bella to Adventure Aquarium today along with Liz, mommy of 14 month old twins Bella and Enzo, Brenda, mommy of 18 month old twins Bella and Joseph, and Katerina, mommy of 14 month old Mackenzie and 5 year old Seth! We were quite the sight! All of the kids had fun!

Day at home

Trey, Bella and Mommy had a relaxing day at home for most of the day! The only other thing we did was go grocery shopping!

First Dental Visit

Bella said "Mom" two times today! When Mommy prompted her to say it again, she just said "Da Da"! Oh well, Mommy will take what she can get!

Trey and Bella went to the dentist for the first time today! They each have 6 teeth and got a clean bill of Dental Health!

Grandmom Fun

Trey and Bella hung out with Mommy and Grandmom most of the day. They also went to a few stores!

Officially Walking

Grandmom watched Trey and Bella while Mommy taught skating and Daddy played golf! They had lots of fun with Grandmom!

Trey is officially walking now! Grandmom taught him while Mommy and Daddy were not there. When Mommy came back, Trey walked across the room to her!

Mommy, Grandmom and Aunt Di Di took Trey and Bella to a few stores for Cristmas Shopping!

Aunt Kimberly taught Bella how to go down the steps!

Trey and Bella went out to dinner with Mommy, Daddy, Caitlin and Chris! It was lots of fun with very good food!

Visit to the Zoo

Trey and Bella went to the Philadelphia Zoo today with Mommy, Aunt Kim, Evan, Nicole and Samantha! They had a wonderful time!

Then we all slept over at Grandmom's house where we also got to see Aunt Debbie, Uncle Al and Kennedy.

Happy Due Date

Today is Trey and Bella's One Year Anniversary of their due date!
Trey took several series of steps today, between 5 and 8 steps each!

Trey and Bella got their flu shots today. Bella was not a happy camper and cried a lot! Trey was a very brave boy and did not cry! They have to go back for a second dosage in one month.

NICU Follow up

Trey and Bella had their Neonatal Intensive Care Follow up today with Dr. Kim and the Physical Therapist. The NICU team still uses Trey and Bella's ajusted age, and will continue to do so until they are 2 years old. So, even though Trey and Bella's actual age is 14 months old as of tomorrow, their adjusted age is 12 months since their due date was 1 year ago tomorrow.

Trey weighs 17 pounds and 4 ounces (<3 % adjusted; not on growth chart for actual) is 30 3/4 inches long (75% adjusted; 50% actual) and his head is 46 centimeters in circumference (30% adjusted; 10% actual).

Bella weighs 15 pounds and 14 ounces (<3 % adjusted; not on growth chart for actual) is 28 1/2 inches long (25% adjusted, 10% for actual) and her head is 46.3 centimeters in circumference (75% adjusted; 50% actual).

Trey's "soft spot" is now completely closed and Bella's is almost closed with only a finger tip sized spot remaining.

Trey and Bella did very well with the physical therapist. They both walked up and down the children's stairs for her. Trey stood up and took 2 steps. Bella walked across the room without stopping for balance, which they were very impressed by. Trey put a little bead in a tiny container and the physical therapist was very impressed that he knew to turn it upside down to get it out instead of shaking it.

Trey and Bella are on target for their ACTUAL AGE rather than their adjusted age for all developmental skills, including language, fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Though both are within the normal range, Trey is more advanced than Bella on fine motor skills and language development and Bella is more advanced than Trey on gross motor skills!

Both Trey and Bella are very small in size and are falling of the premature growth chart for weight. Dr. Kim suggested giving them as many calories per day as they will tolerate. This can be done by continuing to nurse as long as they will take it, adding fat to their foods (cream, butter, whole milk, syrup, dips, etc.) and giving them Pediasure.

Out of curiosity, Mommy asked Dr. Kim what Trey and Bella's APGAR scores were at birth. Trey's were 3 at 1 minute and 6 at 5 minutes. Bella's were 2 at 1 minute and 7 at 5 minutes. Mommy is glad she did not know this when they were born since its a little scary!

Their next NICU Follow-up will be at 18 moths adjusted age, May 23, 2007.

Trey and Bella went to vote today! They are not even 14 months old and have voted twice! Uncle Bobby will be very proud when he hears!

Utensils

Trey and Bella learned how to eat with a fork today! They try to put them food on themselves and get frustrated when they can't! Mommy had to put every bite on the fork for them so they would eat it since they decided that a fork is more fun than eating with their hands!

Busy Day

Trey and Bella went with Mommy today to get her flu shot. They were very well behaved in the Doctor's office.

Mom Mom watched Trey and Bella for 2 hours while Mommy went to her Mothers of Multiples Vendor Night before Daddy got home from work. Mom Mom finished giving Trey and Bella dinner, then gave them baths! Daddy was home for bed time and was able to help with that!

Trey and Bella got their Halloween Photo taken today dressed up as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell or as we like to say Peter "Trey" and Tinker "Bella"!

Trey and Bella went trick or treating for the first time tonight! They enjoyed it and got lots of treats!

Trey and Bella had their first taste of chocolate candy courtesy of Daddy while Mommy was cleaning up the dinner! They loved it!

Sick Kids

Trey and Bella have to miss their Twin Plagroup Halloween party today because they are sick.

Trey has a viral cold, which should go away on its own. He is on cough syrup.

Bella has two ear infections and a croupy cough (not the full croup). She is on Amoxicillin and cough syrup.

The pediatrician said they are not contagious since they do not have fevers, but that since they are not feeling well, I should keep them home for 24-48 hours.

On a happy note, Bella weighs 16 pounds 11 ounces and Trey weighs 18 pounds 4 ounces! These weights are a little off since their were each fully clothed in a diaper, onesie, jeans, shirt, socks and sneakers!

Accidents

Mommy had to cancel Trey and Bella's photo appointment today because Trey accidentally hit Bella in the head with the telephone and she has a bump and a scratch.

Fun Day

Trey and Bella went out to lunch with Mommy and Mary while Daddy and John played football! They also had a short visit with Mom Mom and Pop Pop!

All Even

Trey played with Mommy in the morning while Daddy and Bella slept in a little!
Trey got tooth number 6 today! It is his upper right lateral incisor!

Trey and Bella now have six teeth each!

Daddy Day...First Zoo Day!

Daddy took the day off work today to spend it with Trey and Bella! They were very excited to see that Daddy was home from his business trip when they woke up in the morning! Daddy played with Trey and Bella while Mommy slept in!

After a visit to the Eye Doctor for Mommy and Daddy, our family went to the Philadelphia Zoo for the first time! Aunt Desiree and Cousin Olivia met us there and we all had a wonderful time!

Trey went to bed without nursing tonight for the first time! Bella does this about 50% of the time. It looks like our babies are beginning to wean! Mommy was very sad about this at first, but now she thinks she may try to wean them of only this feeding so that other's can put Trey and Bella to bed. Mommy has no plans at this point to wean Trey and Bella unless they do so themselves.

Great Progress

Trey and Bella had Physical Therapy today with Miss Donna! They are both doing great!

Bella walked about 1/2 of the time and Trey learned how to string beads!!!!!

Playgroup

Trey and Bella went to playgroup today at Skyler and Raina's house. There was a new little boy names Hunter there too! It was fun!

Trey and Bella missed Daddy very much while he was away on business.

Visits

Trey and Bella visited Mommy's friends from Villanova University today!

Cousin Evan helped Mommy watch Trey and Bella while Aunt Kim was at a school lecture. Evan was a big help!

Trey and Bella slept over at Grandmom's house with Mommy!

Sesame Place

Bella and Trey went to Sesame Place with cousin Evan today! Mommy, Aunt Kimberly and Aunt Karen were their escorts. Then ran into friends Bella and Enzo while there!

Family Dinner

Trey and Bella went to Aunt Danielle and Uncle Bobby's house for family dinner tonight! It was lots of fun! Then they went to Grandmom's house to sleep over, with Mommy of course!

Secret Mission

Trey and Bella went on their first "secret mission" today with Mommy and succeeded!

PT

Trey and Bella were very happy to see Miss Donna today when she came to do PT with them! She was on vacation last week getting her new puppy!

Mommy and Daddy's Turn

Mommy and Daddy woke up not feeling well today! Trey and Bella slept a lot today, but only in short 20-30 minute increments. Hopefully, they will be feeling a little better tomorrow!

Colds

Trey and Bella definitely have colds. From everything I have read, a cold is contagious for 2-3 days before symptoms begin and then 2-3 days after the start of them. So, by Wednesday, they shouldn't be contagious anymore and we can go back to our normal routines!

Night Time Fun

Trey woke up at 3:30am with a runny nose and wouldn't go back to sleep. He woke up Bella so the whole family went downstairs to the playroom bright (or dark!) and early! Bella's nose was a little runny too!

We went to the SJ Moms of Multiples Annual Hayride and Pumpkin picking outing at Johnson's Corner Farm today. Trey and Bella had lots of fun in the pumpkin patch!

By late afternoon, Trey and Bella's noses were very runny and they were both cranky! Mommy and Daddy are hoping its just teething since its clear mucus.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a walker! Bella took 20 steps in a row tonight, pausing to get her balance in between some, but never falling! Mommy and Daddy think that now counts as walking!

Out to Lunch

Trey and Bella had lunch out with Mommy and Daddy at Applebees!

We also went to Target and bought "The Little Mermaid". Oh, and to Lowe's to buy a carpet for Trey and Bella's room!

Baby Steps

Bella took 4 steps today and Trey took 2!

Mommy took Trey and Bella to the monthly Moms of Turnersville meeting today! They had lots of fun playing with all of the other kids!

New Tooth

Trey got a new tooth today! This makes 5! It is his left upper lateral incisor!

Trey and Bella went with Mommy to Gymboree to use their Gymbucks! They each got one winter outfit and one summer outfit.

Trey got a new tooth today! It is his right upper central incisor! He looks like two more are coming soon, so we'll see!

Trey and Bella were very good and stayed asleep for Daddy while Mommy was at her Mothers of Multiples Meeting tonight!

An Ending?

Isabella had a check up today for her ear. Her infection is finally gone after nearly 4 months!

Bella went to sleep tonight for the very first time without nursing - her choice, not Mommy's choice. Mommy is very sad and hopes this doesn't mean Bella is starting to wean herself! She has been nursing for shorter time periods lately and never signals Mommy to nurse. However, she always gets jealous when Trey wants to nurse (which is still often) and wants to nurse with him.

Fly Eagles Fly

Trey and Bella wore their new Eagles outfits today in honor of Game Day! "Fly Eagles Fly!"

Mall Time

Trey and Bella went to the mall with Mommy and Grandmom! Grandmom got them each a new pair of shoes and each a new pair of sneakers!

We met some Eagles

Trey and Bella went to the mall with Mommy and Mom Mom today! They met 3 Philadelphia Eagles Football Players and got their autographs!

Mom Mom got Trey and Bella each a new outfit from Gymboree!

New Best Friends

Bella and Trey had some friends over for playgroup today. Twins Bella and Enzo and twins Bella and Joseph came over with their Mommys Liz and Brenda! The three sets of twins had a great time and played for 2 hours!

NICU reunion

Daddy and Mommy took Trey and Bella to the NICU reunion today! It was very nice to see some of the nurses who took care of Trey and Bella for the first 6 weeks of their lives! We also stopped over at the AntepartumUnit at the hospital and saw some of the nurses who took care of Mommy for the 10 weeks before the babies were born. It was a nice afternoon!

Trey began walking today holding only 1 of Mommy and Daddy's hands! Not Trey and Bella can both do this! We'll be walking by ourselves soon!

Sickness going around

Trey and Bella's twin play group had to be canceled today. One set of twins had family coming to town, so couldn't make it. The other two sets of twins each had one sick twin. Let's hope the "sickies" aren't going around because Trey and Bella don't want to be sick!

Trey and Bella were very well behaved for Mommy tonight for dinner and bathtime since Daddy was at a golf tournament!

Naps for 2

Trey and Bella both took at 2-hour nap at the same time today! WOW! Mommy took advantage and had some Mommy time, so she read a book!

Play Date

Trey slept in until 6:15am today! This must be a record for him! Let's hope this lasts!!!!

Trey and Bella went to McDonalds for lunch with Mommy and the other Moms and kids from the Moms Club of Turnersville. It was lots of fun!

Steps

Bella took 5 steps today holding only 1 of Mommy's hands!

E-A-G-L-E-S

Daddy woke up early with Trey while Mommy and Bella slept in a little! Then Trey and Bella hung out with Mommy while Daddy went to the Eagles Home Opener.

Trey and Bella have been practicing standing by themselves today without holding on to anything. They are doing great!

Lots to do

Trey and Bella went with Daddy to Grandmom's house today while Mommy taught ice skating. Daddy and Pop Pop helped Grandmom by picking up some stuff for her new bathroom!

Trey and Bella then went to Bennigan's for Lunch with Mommy, Daddy and Grandmom!

Mommy stayed up late to write out Trey and Bella's thank you cards for their birthday party. Now she can put them together once the photos are developed!

Spots!

Poor Bella has a bad diaper rash from her antiobiotics! Hopefully it will clear up with the over the counter cream the doctor recommended.

Poor Trey has 1 lone chicken pox from his vaccine last week! It is not contagious and it normal after the vaccine for some children.

Trey and Bella had physical therapy today. Miss Donna said they are both doing great. They can both stand on their own. Bella is trying hard to walk, but doesn't get herself steady enough in the standing position before she tries to take off in a run. Trey is very steady standing up, but sits down as soon as he realizes he isn't holding on to anything. Now it will be a race to see who starts walking first!

Play Date

Trey and Bella had playgroup today with Connor, Skyler and Raina. They had lots of fun!

New teeth...new words

Trey got his 3rd tooth today! It is his left upper central incisor.

Mommy, Trey and Bella relaxed today after a very long weekend!

Eagles Game

Mommy and Daddy took Trey and Bella to Aunt Desiree and Uncle John's house to watch the Eagles Game!

Birthday Party

Trey and Bella had a wonderful Birthday Party today! There were lots of family and friends to celebrate with. Elmo and Cookie Monster came to have some fun too!

There was cake, water ice, presents, a moon bounce, a big pool, pin the nose on Elmo, a Elmo Pinata, and baggo! Everyone had fun!

Almost Party Time

Trey and Bella went with Mommy to Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house to get ready for their birthday party tomorrow. Cousin Olivia came over to play and they had a great time!

Daddy Day

Daddy stayed home today because Mommy hurt her back. Daddy played with Trey and Bella in between getting work done.

Welcome Back Daddy

Trey and Bella were very excited to see Daddy today when he came home from his overnight business trip!

Check up

Trey and Bella had their "one year" check up today with Dr. Caroline since Dr. Dave is on vacation.

Trey weighs 16 pounds and 5 ounces and is 29 inches long! His head circumference is 45 1/2 inches! This puts Trey in the 5th percentile for length (25th percentile adjusted) and 25th perenctile for head circumference (50th percentile adjusted). He is not yet on the growth chart for weight but is at the 3rd percentile adjusted!

Bella weighs 15 pounds and 1 ounce and is 27 1/4 inches long! Her head circumference is 44 1/2 inches! This puts Bella in the 7th percentile for length (40th percentile adjusted) and 25th perenctile for head circumference (50th percentile adjusted). She is not yet on the growth chart for weight but is at the 3rd percentile adjusted!

Its time to get out the "big girl" and "big boy" Britax car seats! Dr. Caroline recommended keeping them rear racing until 20 pounds or 2 years, which ever comes first!

Since Trey and Bella couldn't get their CBC blood tests done prior to this appointment due to their small viens, we will be getting it done before the 15 month check up!

Trey and Bella are allowed all foods not except peanuts, which we are holding off on until 18 months.

Bella still has her lingering ear infection, so she will be on an antibiotic for this and will be rechecked again in a month.

Trey will be getting Kidscort on his back to help the dry skin.

Trey and Bella will be getting the flu shot in Ocotober and will more than likely qualify for the Synagis (RSV) shots again this winter.

Trey and Bella each got three vaccinations.

Dr. Caroline was very impressed with them and said they are on track with all of the developmental milestones for 12 month old babies! They both walked (with Mommy), clapped, poked, climbed and talked for her. Trey decided to show off and saw "thank you"! Dr. Caroline said this is an 18-24 month skill (putting 2 words together). Dr. Caroline said that Trey and Bella are very intelligent babies and are doing great overall!

Grandmom slept over to celebrate Trey and Bella's birthday with them!

Trey and Bella got lots of fun presents today! Mommy and Daddy got them a ball pit with 175 balls, Hokey-Poke Elmo, a See-N-Say, a truck with cars, a toy telephone, and some Sesame Street Bath toys! Grandmom gave them a wagon and Elmo Clothes! Colleen gave them each an outfit and some onesies! They will be lots more gifts to come at their birthday party on Saturday!

Pictures and Shopping

Trey, Bella, Mommy, Daddy and Grandmom went to have Trey and Bella's First Birthday photos taken today at Kiddie Kandids! Then we all went to Friendly's for lunch!

After that, Mommy and Grandmom went shopping! Trey and Bella got some new clothes, new toys and Bella's Halloween costume - Tinkerbell! We are still looking for Trey's costume!

Daddy Day

Trey and Bella were very excited to see Daddy today! They had lots of fun playing with Daddy while Mommy went to get her hair cut.

Mommy Day

Trey and Bella had a Mommy day since Daddy wasn't home tonight. They did very well for Mommy!

Bella helped Mommy and Traci sew before she went to bed.

Good Friends!

Colleen came over to help with Trey and Bella's dinner time and bathtime tonight since Daddy wasn't home yet. It was lots of fun!

Trey and Bella tried lima beans tonight. Trey gobbled them up very quickly! Bella ate about half, so I think the jury is still out!

The sibling fighting begins

Trey hit Bella for the first time today! Bella tried to steal the toy he was playing with and Trey hit her in the head! The fun begins!

Trey and Bella went to Raina and Skylar's house today for our first weekly playgroup. Connor was there too! They all had fun!

Milk Please

Trey and Bella both walked today with the help of their push toys. It had been a few days since Mommy pulled out those toys, but Trey and Bella took to them right away today.

Trey and Bella had a play date with Jeffrey, whose Mommy was in the hospital with Mommy for all those weeks last summer. It was fun!

Trey pointed for Mommy's milk today (ut oh). Mommy ignored him to see if that is really what he was asking for and Trey crawled over to Mommy and tugged on her shirt. Smart boy!

Teddy Bear Picnic

Mommy took Trey and Bella to a Teddy Bear Picnic at Harry and Arianna's house with the other kids from the Moms Club of Turnersville. The picnic had to be inside since it was so wet outside, but all of the kids had fun!

Daddy's Birthday

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!!! Trey and Bella each painted Daddy a masterpiece with finger paints and added their photo to it before framing them!
Mommy, Trey and Bella gave Daddy a IPod Nano! Daddy said he loves it!

Mommy is going to the South Jersey Moms of Multiples Children's sale today to check it out. She may buy some things for Trey and Bella, as well as see how things are prices since we are planning to sell some things at the March sale! Trey and Bella are going to have fun at home with Daddy and then may meet Mommy at the sale once its open to the public!

Mommy went to the hospital today to visit the nurses who took care of Mommy while she was pregnant. They asked Mommy to bring Trey and Bella to the hospital to visit them.

It's MY Blood - You can't have it!

Trey and Bella went to get the blood work done today for their one year appointment, but couldn't have it done because their viens are too small. They will have to wait until just before their 15 month check up in December.

Trey and Bella are sleeping over Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house tonight with Mommy and Daddy!

Beach Babies

Trey and Bella went to the beach with Mommy, Traci, Amanda, Haley and Skylar! They had lots of fun and ate sand!

Trey and Bella went with Mommy to sleep over at Grandmom's house so that Daddy and his friends could have a fantasy football draft.

Bella had her first bloody mouth today. She fell while standing up at the table. She took it much better than Mommy!

Trey discovered cars today! He had a blast with cousin Evan's toy cars, so Grandmom got him and Bella some cars!

Trey and Bella took Mommy to the Olive Garden for dinner (Daddy and Mom Mom came too!) for her birthday! After Trey and Bella went to bed, Mom Mom and Pop Pop stayed with them while Daddy took Mommy to see The DaVinci Code.

Miss Donna, Trey and Bella's physical therapist from Early Intervention said that Trey and Bella are doing very well! Developmentally, Bella is behaving like a 12-13 month old and Trey is behaving like a 11 1/2 - 12 1/2 month old (they are only 11 1/2 months old!).

Lunch Buddies

Trey and Bella went to "Lunch Buddies" today at Miss Beth's house with all of the other kids in the Moms Club! It was lots of fun!

Busy Day

Trey and Bella had a very busy day today. They went to the supermarket, went to visit Grandmom who is recovering from her surgery, they met their new friend Emily, and went to their cousin Kayla's first birthday party! They are very tired now!

Bella fed herself an entire meal (lunch) today! Previously, she would only do a few pieces and then want Mommy or Daddy to feed her. Our babies are growing up to fast!

Sleeping Through the Night

Daddy is sick today so he had to stay home from work and go to the Doctor's.
Mommy, Trey and Bella took Cara and Mia to get puppy hair cuts! When Mommy and Trey went to pick up the puppies while Bella was napping, Cara cried when she saw that Bella was not in her carseat. Mommy thinks she was telling Mommy that only one baby was in the car.

Trey started throwing the ball back to Mommy when Mommy rolls it to him!

Mommy went to her monthly Moms of Multiples Meeting tonight. Trey and Bella were awake and playing with Daddy when Mommy got home at 10:30pm. Mommy told Trey and Bella, "Mommy and Daddy love you. Now its bedtime. Go to sleep and no crying because we are not coming in to get you." They slept through the night after that!

Well, Mommy is editing this on August 10, 2006 to add that Trey and Bella started sleeping through the night tonight since its been 8 days!!!!! They do wake up and fuss a little but no longer cry. They put themselves back to sleep! Mommy and Daddy do not go into their room until 5am at which time, Mommy lets them nurse and hopes they go back to sleep. Some mornings they have, and others they have not. Apparently, Mommy didn't need to go into their room every time they fussed, since it seems to have been waking them up more and making them cry to be held and nursed. Live and Learn!

Trey and Bella went to the mall with Mommy and Colleen since it was too hot to take a walk outside!

Just a nice relaxing day at Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house followed by the drive home. Everyone is tired now!

Fun with Friends

Trey and Bella went out to breakfast with Mommy, Daddy, Mom Mom and Pop and then shopping with Mommy and Mom Mom.

Everyone went to dinner at the McKee's house ~ the are the parents of Bella's God Daddy. It was very yummy!

Sick!

Trey has a fever of 101.5, so Mommy took him to the Pediatrician today. Turns out it is either teething or a viral cold that needs to go away.
Mommy asked the Doctor to check Bella since we were there, just to make sure her ear infection from a few weeks ago is gone. The one in the right ear was gone but the one in the left is still there! Bella is now on Augmentin to get rid of it.

Trey weight 15 pounds and 12 ounces and Bella weighs 14 pounds and 11 ounces! They are growing well!

Since neither baby is contagious, we are going to Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house for the weekend.

New Toys

Trey and Bella's physical therapist said they are ready for wooden puzzles and crayons so we went to Toys R Us today to get some!

First Trip to McDonalds

Trey and Bella had a play date at McDonalds with the kids from the Mom's Club of Turnersville! It was fun even though Mommy brought their lunch instead of letting them have McDonalds.

Bella and Trey are officially in size 9-12 month pjs! Still in 3-6 month onesies and 3-6 or 6-9 clothes depending on the style and brand. Mommy hopes the 6-9 and 9-12 month winter clothes she has been buying them will fit for winter!

Great Times

Trey and Bella went to their first Moms of Multiples Annual Family Picnic today at Great Times Day Camp! There was a lake, two pools, pony rides, face painting, yummy food, fun games and of course, a photo of all of the twins!

Trey and Bella went to a long walk with Mommy to Kolhs to buy some more jammies!

Bella moved into size 3 Pampers Cruises for night time!

Cleaning and organizing

Mommy and Daddy set up the shelves in the play room and moved the couches to the sides so that Trey and Bella have lots of space to roam!

Crawling and Cruising

Trey learned how to crawl in the actual crawling position today! He's been fake crawling for some time, but now goes forward the correct way, though he still prefers to crawl with two hands, one knee and one foot!

Trey and Bella had a twin playdate today! They met 14 month old twins Aiden and Ava, along with their big sister Alexandra, and 10 month old twins Bailey and Patrick!

Bella took 2 steps today from the leap start learning table to the couch to get Mommy's pen!

"On His Own"

Trey left the house for the first time without Bella today! Daddy and Trey did the grocery shopping at Acme while Mommy and Bella slept in (until 8am!!!!). Then Trey and Mommy went to the produce store while Bella took her beauty nap! Two outings in one day for Trey!

Mommy and Aunt Karen took Trey and Bella to Sesame Place today to meet up with Aunt Kimberly, Cousin Evan, Nicole and Samantha. It was Trey and Bella's first visit to Sesame Place! They had a great time and loved meeting Big Bird, Elmo, Bert, Ernie and Grover. They went on rides, saw the Elmo Show and watched the Parade!

Welcome Baby Colin

Trey and Bella have a new cousin! Colin James was born to very happy Mommy Veronica and Daddy Frank!

Trey and Bella are sick again. It seems the stomach bug depleted their immune systems. Trey has a bacterial infection and Bella has the same bacterial infection, along with two ear infections and pink eye. Our poor babies! They are both on antibiotics and the Doctor says they will be better in plenty of time to go to Sesame Place on Monday with Mommy, Aunt Karen, Aunt Kim, Evan, Nicole and Samantha.

Ten Months Old!

Happy Fourth of July! And Happy 10 months to Trey and Bella!

They are having their ups and downs today, but we think they are getting better.

First Trip to ER

Bella started getting sick around 2am - poor baby girl!

Trey and Bella had their first trip to the Emergency Room today, one year and one day after Mommy was admitted to the hospital for pre-term labor. They are both having problems vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration. The Pediatric Doctor didn't want to give them IVs due to the potential complications so we are trying oral rehydration. Trey and Bella are supposed to nurse in five minute intervals for as long as they will tolerate it and then will get 5 cc's of pedialyte every five minutes in between. Its a very tedious process, but hopefully will help them feel better.

BBQ

Trey and Bella went to a BBQ at Aunt Myong-Hui's new house!

Trey got sick at the BBQ around 4 pm, so we had to go home - our poor baby boy!

Teeth and Shopping

Trey went "shopping: in cousin Evan's closet today for winter clothes and Bella plans to do the same in cousin Olivia's closet.
Trey and Bella went to an Independence Day BBQ at Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house!

Happy Father's Day

Happy First Father's Day to Daddy! Trey and Bella got Daddy some framed photos and we went out to breakfast with Pop Pop!

Mommy and Daddy tried putting Trey and Bella in their new inflatable bathtub inside the big bathtub tonight and they both screamed the entire time! I guess we will be using the baby bathtub for a while more!

Night Out

Pop Pop and Mom Mom came over to watch Trey and Bella tonight so that Mommy and Daddy could attend a wine tasting dinner hosted by one of Daddy's work friends.

Bye-Bye Sea Shore

Today is the last day of vacation - boo!

Bella went on the old fashioned cars while Trey was sleeping on the way to the water park, where we spent the day!

We then went to the casino to cash in our tickets for a prize for Trey and Bella and got an angel fish rocker by Step 2!

Then it was off to buy fudge and salt water taffy before heading back to the house to bath the babies and pack up the car!

Happy Anniversary

Today is Mommy and Daddy's 4th wedding anniversary!
Trey and Bella went to the swimming pool at the Cara Mara Motel and had a great time!

Grandmom and Aunt Kimberly took Trey and Bella to the boardwalk this evening with cousin Evan while Mommy and Daddy went to the Palm in Atlantic City for dinner!

This was the first time that someone other than Mommy put Trey and Bella to bed. Grandmom and Aunt Kim said they did great!

Cape May Zoo

Grandmom took Trey and Bella for a nice morning walk while letting Mommy sleep in today!

Trey and Bella went to their first zoo - the Cape May County Zoo! They saw a lion, a tiger, two bears, lots of monkeys, some peacocks, a hug turtle, lots of kangaroos, three giraffes, and many zebras!

Trey refused all baby food today and only ate grown up food! So much for the freezer stash!

Trey and Bella did not want to go to bed tonight and both stayed up late!

Water Park

Today was a beautiful day! Trey and Bella went to the water park for the first time! Trey loved the water! He splashed the entire time. Bella took a little longer to get used to it but then had a blast! Trey and Bella even went down the small water slide in the kiddie pool with Mommy!

We attempted to have dinner at the Wharf tonight, but all three kids (Trey, Bella and Evan) were all cranky so we got our dinner to go!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

It was very rainy today, so we stayed inside and took lots of naps!

Trey and Bella tried two new foods today! They loved hot dogs! The eggplant was just okay!

Once the rain stopped, we took Trey and Bella to Kelly's Pub for dinner and then went to the boardwalk and the Olympic Casino.

Baby food....no thanks

Trey and Bella napped with Daddy today while Mommy went to Samual's pancake house with the rest of the group for Breakfast.

Then we went to the beach, whick only lasted for 5 minutes since it was so windy! Trey hated the wind and so did Mommy so we left! We took a quick dip in the pool at Cara Mara Motel, where our family friend is the manager.

Trey and Bella took a quick nap before going to dinner at Little Italy, where Trey and Bella had chicken parm!

Trey and Bella have decided that they prefer grown up food over baby food and now get very made when Mommy tries to give them baby food! We still have a lot in the freezer at home, so we are going to try to push that until its all gone.

After dinner, Daddy, Aunt Dani and Uncle Bobby went home and Mommy, Grandmom and Aunt Kim took the three kids to the boardwalk where we rode on the Balloon Race!

Boardwalk

Today Trey and Bella went to the boardwalk with Mommy, Daddy, Grandmom, Aunt Kim, Evan, Aunt Dani and Uncle Bobby. Trey and Bella went to the pink elephants and the carousel. They also had their first experience at the casino ~ the kiddie casino where you get prizes instead of money!

Trey and Bella played a few games and Trey won an Eagles football player teddy bear and Bella won an Eagles football cheerleader teddy bear! Cousin Evan won a ball and won a Phillies Teddy Bear for Trey!

We had the famous Curley's french fries for lunch (not Trey and Bella since they are made with peanut oil) and went to Groff's for dinner!

Vacation

Today is the first day of Trey and Bella's first vacation! Mommy and Daddy took them to Wildwood, where Mommy and the babies will be staying with Grandmom, Aunt Kimberly and Cousin Evan for the week. Daddy has to work, so he will be spending the weekend and then going home to take care of Cara and Mia before returning to the shore on Thursday night! Aunt Danielle and Uncle Bobby are coming down for the weekend too!
Today, Mommy, Daddy, Trey and Bella went for a long walk to the boardwalk. On the way home, it poured rain and Mommy and Daddy got soaked! Trey and Bella had a stroller rain cover over them, but still got a little wet and didn't like it very much!

Little Models

Mommy took Trey and Bella to Kiddie Kandid's to get some reprints of their photo session and their photos are in the display book! They are using the photo of the babies together that is at the top of this page and the close up of Isabella by herself. I guess we have little models on our hands!

NICU Follow-up

Trey and Bella had their NICU Follow up today. Everything went well and we got all of the same information as we did at the Pediatrician yesterday.

Trey and Bella tried yogurt today and loved it!

Mommy went to her first Moms of Multiples Meeting tonight. It was a lot of fun! There are 135 Moms in the club!

Check up

Trey and Bella had their "9 month" check up today! Dr. Dave said they are both doing great! He was amazed that they hadn't been in for a sick visit since their 6 month check up!
Dr. Dave commented on how well behaved they were, each sitting in the stroller patiently while Mommy was helping him with the other baby!

He was very happy to hear they are not big criers and will sit in their highchairs in restaurants while Mommy and Daddy eat. He encouraged Mommy to continue not putting restrictions on where we can take them since they are babies. He is a strong believer that they can be taken anywhere, and this is how they learn to behave in different situations.

Trey weighs 14 pounds and 6 ounces (3rd percentile for his corrected age), is 26 inches long (25th percentile for his corrected age), and his head circumference is 44 centimeters(50th percentile for his corrected age)!

Bella weighs 13 pounds and 3 ounces (3rd percentile for her corrected age), is 25 3/4 inches long (25th percentile for her corrected age), and her head circumference is 43 centimeters (50th percentile for her corrected age)!

Dr. Dave was very impressed with them at the visit and said that they are doing great developmentally, doing things that many of his 9 month old full-term babies are not doing (they both waved for him and tried to clap for him)!

Dr. Dave said they are ready to be taken off baby food! We will be finishing the homemade baby food that we have in the freezer and then Trey and Bella will begin eating whatever Mommy and Daddy (okay, Daddy!) are serving for dinner! Table food here we come!

Dr. Dave did say to avoid raisins, nuts, whole eggs, honey and seafood. Bella and Trey can now have some things that we have been avoiding until now, such as foods cooked with eggs, milk and cheese, yogurt, pudding, citrus, strawberries, and small amounts of whole milk!

Dr. Dave also said that Trey and Bella can be cut down to 4 nursing sessions per day if Mommy wishes! Or, we can continue on-demand nursing. They are now ready and able to have the majority of their calories from table food. Since many days, Trey and Bella only nurse 4-5 times anyway (not counting night time nursing), Mommy thinks we will try moving to 4 times a day when we return from vacation. We will also try to cut out the night feedings since Trey and Bella don't eat much then anyway. Mommy will try to just rock them when they wake up at night unless they really want to eat.

Trey and Bella also each got two vaccinations - Hepatitis B and Polio. They did great and only cried for a few seconds. Dr. Dave gave us forms to have blood drawn to test for lead and anemia levels, which is his standard practice at this age. We will review the results and the one year (yikes) check up on September 5, 2006 unless there is a concern.

Trey and Bella tried blueberries today! They weren't so sure about them! We will try again tomorrow at breakfast!

Nine Months Old

Gerald Charles and Isabella Christine are 9 months old today!!!!!
They had their photos taken at Kiddie Kandid's today and of course Mommy and Daddy bought them all!

Trey and Bella had cauliflower for the first time today! They both liked it!

Trey said "Mama" clearly or the first time today! He has been trying, but today, he put his arms up for Mommy and said "Mama"!

Grapes are tasty

Bella and Trey tried grapes for the first time today! They were a big hit!

Trey and Bella went to Ruby Tuesday's today with Mommy and Grandmom and had French fries for the first time. They LOVED them!

Swim Time

First tooth

Mommy, Trey and Bella joined the stay at home Moms of Turnersville group, and we went to our first play date today at the park! There are 70 Mommies in the group, so they intend on dividing it into 2 groups in September once the majority of events are inside.

Where is my twin?

Trey and Bella were apart for the very first time today. Trey was asleep in bed and little miss Bella wouldn't go to sleep so she went to Target with Mommy!

Cousins

Bella and Trey had their photo taken today with cousin Evan for Grandmom!

Mother's Day

Happy First Mother's Day to Mommy! Bella and Trey got Mommy a beautiful Mommy's bracelet with their names on it!

Trey and Bella had cut up banana today for the first time and did great with it!

Trey and Bella tried water in sippy cups today. Trey wasn't really interested and Bella threw a fit! I guess she thought she wasn't getting any milk from Mommy!

Christening Day

Gerald Charles, III and Isabella Christine were welcomed into God's family today at their Christening at Saints Peter and Paul Church! We had a big party for them at home afterwards!

Backwards?

Bella learned how to crawl backwards today and how to suck her thumb! Trey took a nap in the pack and play today for the first time since he was a tiny little baby!

First Words

Trey said "Da Da" today. Mommy and Daddy were laying in bed this morning listening to Trey talk to himself and he kept saying da da!

Trey and Bella tried chicken today. Mommy and Daddy mixed it with broccoli. Trey seemed to like it and at all of his! Bella ate half of hers and then started crying, so we are not sure if she likes it or not!

Moved up a size!

Bella tried Mommy's vanilla pudding today and loved it! She kept trying to get more!

Three days shy of being 8 months old, Mommy and Daddy moved Trey and Bella into 6-9 month sleepers (they are still in 3-6 months clothes, which are still big!). The sleepers are way too long, but the 3-6 month ones were just too short!

Vanilla Pudding

Trey tried Mommy's vanilla pudding today and liked it a lot!

Isabella got her ears pierced today! She was a brave little girl and looks beautiful!

Mommy was very nervous taking her, so Mommy's long time friend Amy went with us! Funny enough, Amy's Mommy was the one who first pierced Mommy's ears 23 years ago!

Bella did great, crying only a little, and stopping immediately when Mommy nursed her!

Roll, Baby, Roll

Trey finally rolled over from back to tummy in both directions today! Now he can roll all way! Watch out world!

Running Errands

Trey and Bella had their first visit to the bank and to the drycleaners today!

A birthday party

Trey and Bella went to their second cousin Riley's third birthday party today and had a great time!

Mango

Trey and Bella tried Mango today and liked it!

First Word

Trey and Bella tried avocado today for the first time. They both hated it! Trey actually shook his head "No" when Daddy tried to give him his second spoonful!

We think Isabella said her first word today! Of course, it was "daddy"! Mommy was singing a made up song about Daddy when he pulled into the driveway, and Bella said "Daddy". Daddy didn't hear, as he was outside, so I tried to get her to say it again when he came inside. As Daddy was walking up the steps, Mommy, Daddy and Pop Pop all heard her say it again!!!!!

Mmmm.....a thumb

Trey found his thumb today and now loves to suck on it! Previously, he sucked on two fingers or his whole hand!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny brought Trey and Bella each a basket full of goodies! They each got a bathing suit, sunglasses, a bathing suit cover up, sandals, a cookie and a big chocolate bunny!

Mommy, Daddy, Grandmom, Aunt Kimberly, and Aunt Myong-Hui took Trey, Bella and Evan to Ocean City for the day today so they could go to the boardwalk! Trey and Bella loved their first rides on the amusements! They went on the old fashioned cars and the train!

Early Easter

Trey and Bella went to Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house today for an early Easter!

Trey and Bella tried plums today for the first time! Trey didn't seem so sure, but he ate all 4 ounces! Bella took about an ounce and then didn't want any more. We aren't sure if she was just not hungry or if she didn't like them!

Yams

Bella and Trey had yams today for the first time! They were a big hit!

Fruit in their oatmeal

Trey and Bella had Honeydew Melon today in their oatmeal. They weren't so sure at first, but ended up really liking it!

Sitting Up

Trey and Bella can now sit up by themselves for about 5-10 seconds!

Reaching out

Bella reached up for Mommy for the first time today! Mommy was bathing Trey and Bella started crying in the swing. Mommy went to get her and while she was unbuckling the seatbelt, Isabella put both arms up in the air. Mommy almost cried!

Bella and Trey were very excited to see Daddy this evening when he returned from his business trip to Rhode Island!

7 Months old

Bella and Trey are 7 months old today! Trey and Bella had their photograph taken today!

Spices are good

Trey and Bella tried Daddy's homemade seasoned zucchini and summer squash mix tonight. They both loved it! I guess our babies like spices!

Cardiologist

Bella had her appointment with the cardiologist today. The hole in her heart has closed up and her heart is now perfectly normal!

Yummy!

Bella and Trey had Mommy's homemade bakes apples with cinnamon today. They were a big hit! I think we have a new "favorite"!

Homemade Baby Food

Mommy and Daddy made Trey and Bella's more homemade baby food today. We made Carrots and Broccoli. Trey and Bella sampled some for dinner and seemed to really like it! We also bought squash, zucchini, peas, bananas, peaches, pears and apples.

Mommy and Daddy took Trey and Bella out to eat at a restaurant today for the first time! We only went to Denny's so that we would not disturb too many people if Bella and Trey were not happy. They did great! Bella slept almost the whole time and Trey sat on Mommy's lap looking around!

Christening outfits

After a very long day of searching, we finally found Trey and Bella's Christening outfits!

Physical Therapy

Donna from Physical Therapy came to evaluate the twins. She said that they are doing great and she is not sure why they qualified for Early Intervention, but since they did, she is more than happy to come "play" with them once a week. She will be coming every Thursday at 8:30am.

Trey and Bella are routing for their favorite college basketball team ~ The Villanova Wildcats ~ as they play in the NCAA Sweet 16 tonight! Go Wildcats!

Rolling Over

Isabella rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time today! Mommy put the babies on the play mat in the family room while she was making their cereal. Bella started crying, so Mommy went in to get her and she had rolled over. I think she scared herself! She has been trying this for weeks but could never get that second arm out of the way. Well, she did it! Watch out world, here she comes!

6 Month Check Up

Trey and Bella had their "6 month" check up today, just a little late! Dr. Dave Bruner said they are both doing very well!
Trey weighs 12 pounds and 6 ounces, which puts him in the 10th percentile for his adjusted age. He is 25 1/4 inches long, which is the 10th percentile for his actual age. His head is 42 1/2 centimeters around, which is the 25th percentile for his actual age. He is now on the regular growth chart for two of three things ~ height and head circumference!

Bella weighs 10 pounds and 15 ounces, which puts her in the 5th percentile for her adjusted age. She is 24 1/2 inches long, which is the 10th percentile for her actual age. Her head is 41 1/2 centimeters around, which is the 25th percentile for her actual age. She is now on the regular growth chart for two of three things ~ height and head circumference!

Trey and Bella both cried when getting their three vaccinations :(

The doctor was excited that Mommy is going to start making Trey and Bella's baby food at home. He said it tastes much better and Mommy and Daddy can even add some salt, pepper and other spices in small amounts to make the transition to table food easier for Trey and Bella. We can also start on fruit and vegetable combinations. Dr. Dave said that if we are going to used jarred food for outings, we can move to Stage 2!

Dr. Dave wants Mommy and Daddy to increase their "solid" feedings to three times a day soon, so we will probably start this next week ~ Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

When they hit 8 months on May 4, the Doctor wants Mommy and Daddy to introduce meat to the babies ~ chicken, beef, turkey and pork. They can be pureed with vegetables and prepared ahead of time or Mommy and Daddy and just through whatever they are having for dinner in the blender and give that to the babies.

Trey has a dry spot on his head, which appears to be cradle cap to be treated with baby oil until they next appointment. If its not gone, it may be a rare birth mark.

Bella has a very mild self correcting form of toricollis (she tilts her head to the right since those muscles are tighter). The Doctor gave us some exercises to do with Bella, but said that even if we don't do them, its so mild it will self-correct.

Mommy requested a referral to a cardiologist for Isabella to make sure her heart ductus has closed since it was open at birth. We have an appointment next Thursday, March 30, 2006 with Dr. Ritz.

Our next appointment is the day after the twins turn 9 months old ~ June 4, 2006!

New Vegetables

Trey and Bella had carrots tonight for dinner for the first time. Trey loved them and even had extra! Bella liked them too and chose to eat them over her former favorite ~ Green Beans!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Object transfer

Trey and Bella both learned how to transfer objects from the right hand to left hand and left hand to right hand today! I guess they want to do everything together!

Last Synagis Shot

Bella and Trey had their last Synagis shot of the season today. They were both weighed at the doctors office in order to get the correct dosage. Bella weighs 11 pounds and 1 ounce and Trey weighs 12 pounds and 3 ounces!

Daddy caught the stomach bug big time tonight and Bella isn't feeling well either.

Stomach Flu

Mommy has the stomach bug very badly so Daddy had to come home from work today to take care of Bella and Trey.

Trey tried Prunes tonight. He seemed to like them! Bella refused her dinner tonight. Perhaps her tummy hurts too:(

Poor Trey caught the stomach bug and needed three PJ changes. Poor baby :(

Nice Day

It was nearly 80 degrees outside today, so Mommy, Trey and Bella took a nice long walk! Too bad its going to be 30 degrees cooler tomorrow. We can't wait for Spring to be here!

Peas...Mommy agrees with Trey

Bella and Trey tried Peas for the first time at dinner tonight. Bella liked them, but Trey wasn't so sure!

Sleeping and photos

Bella and Trey have been sleeping in their cribs for 1 week! The first four nights were terrible for everyone, and the last three got progressively better!

Bella slept through the night last night!!!! She slept from 8pm until 7:15am!!! Trey almost slept through the night, waking up only one time to nurse! Mommy and Daddy are very excited and hope this is the beginning of a new trend!

Mommy and Gradmom took Trey and Bella to get their "Six Month" photos taken today!!! Trey was all smiles and thought the camera man was just hilarious! Bella begged to differ!

Peaches

Trey and Bella tried Peaches today for the first time!

Early Intervention

Today, the Early Intervention Team came out to evaluate Trey and Bella. They are a little behind in some areas and a little ahead in some areas, so they both do qualify to be part of the early intervention program.

Cookies

Bella and Trey had their first baby cookie today at Grandmom's house! They both loved it! Bella even managed to break some of hers off as she chomped away at it!
Trey reached up for Mommy for the first time today! Mommy was changing Trey's diaper and when Mommy reached down to pick him up, he put both arms up in the air!

Trey and Bella went to Chuck-E-Cheese today for the first time with Mommy, Grandmom, Aunt Kimberly and Cousin Evan! They had a blast!

Oatmeal

Bella and Trey tried Oatmeal Cereal today for the first time. They thought it was okay, but neither loved it!

New foods

Bella and Trey had Squash for the first time tonight for dinner! They both did very well with it and Bella even finished all of hers, which isn't like her at all! Trey is a great eater and usually finishes all of his dinner!

Time to move to cribs for good

Trey and Bella slept in their cribs last night for the entire night! They still woke up at lot but at least they were in the cribs and Mommy and Daddy got to sleep in the same bed!

6 Months old

Trey and Bella are six months old today!!!! Wow, Mommy and Daddy cannot believe they have gotten so big!

Bella and Trey both had Pears today for the first time! They both seemed to like them!

Rolling over!

Isabella rolled over three times today from front to back all by herself!

Vegetables

Trey and Bella had sweet potatoes for the first time tonight! They liked them, but not as much as they like their greenbeans!

NICU Follow-up

Trey and Bella had their High Risk NICU Follow-up today!
Trey weighs 11 pounds 15 ounces (20% for his adjusted age), is 24 1/4 inches long (60%) and his head circumference is 41 centimeters (50%)!

Bella weighs 10 pounds 12 ounces (20% for her adjusted age), is 23 1/4 inches long (50%) and her head circumference is 40 1/2 centimeters (70%)!

Both are doing well developmentally! They both hold their hands well and follow objects well! Bella does a great time on belly time, but Trey still hates it and cried! We are going to let Trey have belly time on top of Mommy and Daddy to help him learn to like it!

Their leg muscle strength is normal for a premature baby of there gestation, but behind a normal baby of their age. This will correct itself! Mommy learned that exersaucers, walkers and jumpers of any kind are bad for a baby's muscle development, so we will be limiting our use of these!

Our next follow up is in June. We will be looking for strong belly time positions, good muscle strength, and baby thought processes!

Party Time

Trey and Bella woke up at 5am with Daddy today and had a party in the bed! It was great for Mommy because when they went back to sleep at 6am, they both slept until 10am!

Trey and Bella had green beans tonight for dinner for the first time! They both really liked them!

Daddy is coming home!

Trey and Bella are very excited to see their Daddy tonight! I am sure they will wake up when he gets home later tonight~

High Chairs

Mommy and Grandmom put together Trey and Bella's high chairs today! They look so small in them! Let's see if Daddy notices them when he gets home tomorrow night!

Both rejecting bottles

Trey and Bella both refused to take their bottles for Grandmom today while Mommy was teaching skating. They both had bananas mixed with their cereal and waited for Mommy to come home to give them "fresh milk".

Trey and Bella tried applesauce today, but neither seemed to like it very much!

Bananas

Bella and Trey had their first fruit today, curtesy of Grandmom, who brought over lots of fruits and veggies for them to try.

Tonight we tried Bananas! Bella liked them right away and Trey warmed up after a few bites!

Apples

Mommy and Daddy let Trey and Bella try some apples from Boston Market tonight!

Bella loved it and kept trying to suck on Mommy's finger for some more, but Trey made a funny face and spit it out!

Trey and Bella met Mommy and Daddy's friends John and Mary today!

Cereal

Bella and Trey are now getting cereal twice a day!

Synagis

Trey and Bella had their Synagis Injections today to help prevent RSV.

Trey weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces and Bella weighs 10 pounds 6 ounces!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! Trey and Bella were Mommy's little Valentines today since Daddy was not at home.

Our little boy now has pink eye in both eyes! Poor baby! Hopefully it will get better soon!

Pink Eye

Poor baby Bella has pink eye! She has an antibiotic ointment that has to be put in her eye four times a day for 5 days.

Mommy, Bella and Trey came home from Mom Mom's early to visit the Pediatrician.

And more snow!

Bella and Trey got to see lots of snow today as is snowed over 17 inches!

Daddy left today on a business trip to South Carolina so Trey, Bella and Mommy are staying with Mom Mom. Pop Pop is away in Florida, so Trey is the "man of the house"!

Snow

Bella and Trey went to their cousin Evan's second birthday party today! It was a Bob the Builder themed party and was lots of fun!

A snow storm also started today! Perhaps Bella and Trey will wear their snowsuits for the first time!

Friends

Trey and Bella met their friends Skylar Grace and Haley Mae today! Mommy grew up with their Mommy Traci on Tampa Street!

The babies all look so cute together and make three year old Haley look so grown up!

No Bottles Mommy

Mommy and Daddy have been giving Trey and Bella one bottle of breastmilk each night for a while now while Mommy pumps for a freezer stash.

Bella began rejecting the bottle!

Happy Birthday to the babies cousin Evan Patrick! Evan is 2 years old today!

Five Months

Trey and Bella are five months old today!!!!

Check up

Trey and Bella had a visit to the Pediatrician today for their "four month" check up even though they are nearly five months old!

Trey weighs 10 pounds 13 ounces, is 24 inches long, and had a head circumference of 40 centimeters. He is not on the normal baby growth chart yet, but he is charted on the premature baby chart for babies born at his gestation and age. According to this chart, Trey is in the 25th percentile for weight, the 75th percentile for length and the 50th percentile for head circumference!

Bella weighs 9 pounds 14 ounces, is 23 inches long, and had a head circumference of 39 1/2 centimeters. She is not on the normal baby growth chart yet, but she is charted on the premature baby chart for babies born at her gestation and age. According to this chart, Bella is in the 20th percentile for weight, the 50th percentile for length and the 50th percentile for head circumference!

Dr. Dave said that we can start cereal now!

Both Bella and Trey each got four vaccinations today...poor babies!

Stuffed Animals

Bella and Trey both learned how to hold things today! They were both grabbing stuffed animals already but today grasped other items.

Trey seems to prefer his Winnie the Pooh rattle, which Mommy bought several years ago, way before she was pregnant! Bella prefers her keys, and has already asked Daddy to buy her a car!

Sized up!

The twins met their friend Elise Whitney today!

Trey and Bella had finally outgrown their "newborn" onesies! Mommy had moved them up to 0-3 month onesies.

Pure Bliss

Mommy finished her first full week at home with Trey and Bella! She loved every minute of being with her babies!

RSV Shots

Trey and Bella had their monthly Synagis shot for RSV today.

Old Friends

Trey and Bella played with their Aunt Karen today! Aunt Karen and Mommy met during their Freshman year of High School in 1991.

Good-bye Mom Mom Judy

Today Trey and Bella met and said good-bye to their Great-Mom-Mom Judy. Mom Mom Judy is now watching over the babies from Heaven.

New Life

Today is Mommy's first day as a Stay-At-Home Mommy!

Mommy's last day of work

Today is Mommy's last day at work!

Her co-workers took her to a nice lunch and gave her some good-bye presents.

Mommy loves her new photo album and definitely plans to take a photo of Trey and Bella next winter in their Villanova sweatshirts!

Four Months Old

Trey and Bella are 4 months old today! My, the time has gone so fast. I cannot believe how quickly these little ones are growing!

Mommy is going to be a Stay At Home Mommy!

Mommy and Daddy made a very big decision and Mommy resigned from her job today!

Hooray, Mommy will be home with us every day beginning in two weeks!

We are going to get to spend some alone time with Daddy also since Mommy is going to teach figure skating lessons on Saturday morning and Daddy is going to stay at home with us! Hmmmm, maybe we can go skating?
