Day of Nothing!

After yesterday's very busy day, today we did almost nothing! We stayed in PJs all day, read books, watched movies and just played inside the house. It felt really good to have nothing we HAD to do!

Day in NYC

My Mom and I took Trey, Bella and Evan to New York City today! It was a lot of fun!

After missing our train due to traffic, and poor planning on our part (stopping at Dunkin Donuts on the way to the train station), we had to take a later train that was not an express train. Thus, we ended up getting to NYC a bit later then we expected!

First, we walked to Build A Bear (Bella's pick), where each of the kids got an animal, with accessories, of course! Both Trey and Bella chose a "Hot Dog" Dog! Bella dressed hers in a robe and slippers, while Trey chose a soccer outfit.

Next up was lunch at a pizza place with gelato for dessert. Since it was already so late, we didn't have time to go to the other stores as we had hoped. We had to go directly to the theatre and we barely made it! We saw Mary Poppins, which was very good! It was a bit different from the movie version, which confused Bella a bit, but it was still a great show!

After the show, we took a taxi to FAO Swartz (Evan's pick), where Bella chose yet another stuffed animal and Trey chose a Light Saber Room Light. Trey especially, is very excited about his room light, and has even agreed that we can now leave the hallway light off at night!

Then it was time to go to the store that Trey chose - the Lego Store! The boys each chose something there!

We had dinner at the train station while waiting for our train since the first one was cancelled. It was a long day, and we didn't get home until 10:45 pm, but we had a lot of fun! We can't wait to do it again next year!

Ice Cream Party

The Kopecki family very generously invited the entire KB class over for an ice cream party! Only a few families could make it, but it was great to see all of the kids together again!

After the ice cream party, Bella had a skating lesson, and we slept over at Grandmom's house to save time in the morning before going to NYC!

Cousin Camp

Trey and Bella's cousin Evan spent the day with us today since he didn't have camp....thus we had "Cousin Camp"!

We did Mommy school in the morning, played outside and went to the pool in the afternoons!

We love summer!

Sunday, June 26, 2011

Mr. Popper's Penguins

After church today, the kids asked if we could go to the movies, so the 4 of us and Grandmom all went to see Mr. Poppers Penguins! It was a really cute movie!

After that, Aunt Kim, Jon and Evan came over for dinner, and Evan stayed the night!

Saturday, June 25, 2011

Belt Loop Bonanza

Trey went to his first Cub Scout Day Camp today.....the Belt Loop Bonanza! He had a great deal of fun and earned four belt loops - Soccer, Basketball, Fishing and Biking!

In the afternoon, we spent a few hours swimming at the pool and Mommy got sun-burned!

Phillies Game

Today was a very crazy day! Daddy took Trey to his golf lesson this morning, while Mommy and Bella ran errands. Then Mommy took Bella to Hayley's birthday party at Ariels Gymnastics Center.

Then we rushed home and off once again to the Phillies Game! It was very exciting because we got to sit behind home plate, and had dinner with a private view of the Phillies Batting Cages! The kids had a blast!

Sesame Place

Today we spent the Day at Sesame Place with the Casano family!

We had a wonderful day, but it was clear that Trey and Bella have outgrown Sesame Place :( Trey asked quite a few times if the Sesame Place characters are "real". Mommy kept turning the question around on him but he certainly didn't buy it 100%. He also looked utterly bored during the shows and parade, though still had a great time on the rides!

This is a very sad sign that my babies are growning up rather quickly. This came just a day after Bella asked me if the Disney Princesses are real. Gosh, I wish I could keep them little forever!

First Official Day of Summer for Us

Today was the first official day of summer for us! The first day with no school that is!

We had a very busy day today, filled with activities! We had a laid back morning in jammies, watching television, building a fort and playing card games. The kids both like Old Maid and Go Fish.

Then the kids rode their four wheelers outside while Mommy sewed patches onto Bella's Daisy vest. So far, she has 4 "fun patches" - Birthday, Ice Skating, Ballet and Washington, DC, along with the four petals she earned with her troop this year!

Then it was off to play golf! Trey is really enjoying his lessons with Mr. Butch. He is really great with both kids, and even teaches Bella a bit!

Then it was home for lunch and Mommy school. We really want to make sure the kids maintain their current levels of math, writing and reading! Mommy read Junie B Jones and the Mushy Gushy Valentine's to the kids, they wrote in their journals and did some penmanship pages.

After more playing, and dinner, Trey and Bella read bedtime stories to Mommy! Trey read two Henry and Mudge books while Bella read an Annie and Snowball Book and a Dr. Seuss Book. They did a great job!

Mommy is looking forward to the rest of the summer!

Last Day of Kindergarten

Today was Trey and Bella's last day of Kindergarten!

Mrs. Shrader and Mrs. Kasper has a very nice ceremony for the parents! The children in the class sang songs for us, and Mommy has a few tears! I am so proud of them both....and now they are First Graders! !

After school, Trey went to a birthday party for his friend Brendan, while Mommy and Bella went to get Mani/Pedi's and ice cream! Today is also Mommy and Daddy's 9th Wedding Anniversary! Grandmom, Mom Mom and Pop Pop came over for dinner to celebrate all of the family occasions!

Just a Tuesday

Its tuesday today....and Mommy is counting down until the end of school when I get my kids back! They had a half day today, but begged to go to C.A.R.E.S. Camp after school, so I left them go for a few hours.

I picked them up early though, since Bella had skating!

The rain really held up traffic on the way home so we missed the summer concert in the town square this week. Oh well, there is always next week!

Last Full Day

Today was Trey and Bella last full day of school....if you could call it school today! They had field day and had a blast! I don't remember every having field day, so Mommy is jealous! Daddy said they always had it. Hmmm, maybe just St. Ambrose didn't.

Cara and Mia got haircuts today and look adorable!

The kids brought home their yearbooks today and they look great! Mommy also finished assembling the 29 scrapbooks that the Moms made for the Kindergarteners and teachers!

Trey and Bella signed up for the Library Summer Reading Program today and are very excited! They took out several books and asked to bring a bag next time!

Birthday party

We slept in a little bit today since Mommy and Daddy had a late night!

Bella went to Kenna's birthday party at the bowling alley today. She had a lot of fun!

Daddy gave the kids the PS3 today that he won last week at the charity auction golf outing. Its an early "Kindergarten Graduation" gift. Trey loved it! Bella didn't seem to care much!

Recital

Bella had her dance recital today!

She did a fabulous job! This was her 3rd dance recital and she is becoming quite good, and loves to be on stage!

Here are some photos...

This picture makes me laugh! I sure hope she doesn't turn out like the girl from "Black Swan"!

After the recital, we all went out for ice cream at Friendly's! Then Mommy and Daddy went to a party at a friend of Daddy's from work. It was a late night! Thanks to Grandmom for babysitting!

Dinner at Mom Mom and Pop Pop's House

Mommy and Daddy picked them kids up from school today, and we went to Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house for dinner! The kids had fun in the pool, but we had to limit the time to one hour since Bella's dance recital is tomorrow....we needed to avoid red eyes!

Long Day

Today was a long day!

Mommy ran some errands while the kids were at school, then worked with another classroom mom on the Kindergarten Scrapbooks, which have been a ton of work this year, but are turning out beautifully!

Then it was off to the dreaded dentist! At least the dentist has spa treatments, so I got a chair massage, a lip treatment and a warm neck wrap! No cavaties and a clean bill of dental health!

Bella had a dress rehearsal for her recital this weekend, which took several hours, so Mommy dropped Trey off to play with Joseph and Anthony! He loves playing there!

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Sunday Funday

After church, Trey went to Justin's birthday party at the park! He loved it! The boys did all sorts of sports things and obstacle courses!

Bella and Mommy meet up with Aunt Danielle to do some secret things! Bella had so much fun and was amazing!

Friday, June 3, 2011

School as work

Mommy went to school with Trey and Bella today as an Aide in their classroom! I love doing that, and working with the kids all day. I missed my true calling....I should have been a Kindergarten Teacher! If any of the aides ever leave the school, I'd love to have their job! LOL!

After school, Trey had a friend over for a playdate, and it was fun watching the boys play together. They got along so well!

Wednesday, June 1, 2011

No School

Today was a day off from school and we had a ton of fun!

One of Trey's friends came over for the day so that his parents didn't have to take the day off from work!

We did Mommy School, played in the back yard, and all 3 kids had a golf lesson with Mr. Butch! It was so cute seeing them all lined up! Someone actually asked me if they were triplets! Um, no thanks!

Grandparents Day

Today was Grandparents Day at school! Trey and Bella loved showing Grandmom, Mom Mom and Pop Pop their school!

And of course, they loved taking them to the bookfair and getting new books!

Memorial Day Picnic

We had a Memorial Day Picnic at Mom Mom and Pop Pop's house today. The kids had a great time swimming in the pool!

Last T-Ball Game

Trey had his last t-ball game tonight and did a great job! He is really getting into it. It's a shame there aren't more games this season!

Game Ball

Trey was awarded the game ball at his t-ball game today! He was so excited!

Bella had a great time at her friend Rachel's birthday party at Pump It Up!

Class Trip

Trey and Bella went on a Class Trip today into Philadelphia to see a play! They went to the University of Pennsylvania to see "If You Give A Mouse A Cookies....and Other Short Stories". They loved it!

Mommy was paranoid all day long about the bus ride (with no seat belts) all the way to the city!

Happy Birthday

Trey and Bella want to wish their Mom Mom a very Happy Birthday!

Thursday, May 12, 2011

May Procession

We went to our first May Procession at Saint Elizabeth Parish today! All of the school children and their families wore blue and white for the honoring and crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was beautiful!

Then Mommy and Daddy went to Atlantic City for two nights to spend time with Uncle Bob and Christina!

Monday, May 9, 2011

LONG Day

Mommy definitely does not want to work full time! Hats off to all those Mom's who do so!

Mommy worked at school today, followed by homework, a quick dinner a home, a t-ball game for Trey, then a Cub Scout meeting for Trey! Poor Bella had to come along since Daddy is away!

Sunday, May 8, 2011

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful and relaxing Day with Trey and Bella today to celebrate Mother's Day!

After breakfast in Bed, we went to Mass together and then played outside! What a wonderful day!

Saturday, May 7, 2011

Holy Communion

Today, Trey and Bella celebrated their cousin Olivia's Holy Communion! She looked beautiful and the kids loved seeing all of the kids dressed up for the occasion.

In fact, Bella is already telling me which parts of which dress will be on HER dress in a few years! LOL

Sunday, May 1, 2011

Divine Mercy Sunday

Trey and Bella were very excited to go to BUGS (Youth Ministry)! They learned about the life of Blessed Pope John Paul the II and how he is now closer to sainthood.

It was very interesting for Mommy as well since Mommy learned a great deal about the Former Pope following his death. Mommy was at home on bedrest when he passed away, and watch everything on TV at that time. There was a lot on about his life, his Papacy and his funeral.

Easter Eggs

Trey and Bella got out of school early today for Easter Break. Grandmom came over and we took the kids to see the new movie Hop, which was really cute!

After Daddy came home we dyed Easter Eggs!

Wonderful Day

I realized today how much I truly miss my kids! They had the day off from school today and we had a wonderful day together!

We planted a vegetable garden in the backyard - carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, broccoli and peppers! I can't wait to see all of the wonderful results! We also planted some pretty flowers out front.

Of course, after all of that the kids were dirty, so Mommy had to squirt them down with the hose! They retaliated by soaking me!

Then we had lunch and ran some errands. The kids were really good.

This afternoon, we had some "Mommy school". The kids did some math pages and some journeling. Then we read Junie B. Jones has a Monster Under her Bed. Oh, we did a science experiment as well! We put some mentos in a bottle of soda and watched it exploded! The kids did a great job writing down their scientic observations in their journels.

Mommy took some photos of Trey and Bella today and they took some of one another.

Trey and Bella did Mommy's hair today and insisted on taking photos!

Mommy cannot wait until summer is here and I have Trey and Bella here with me every day!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We had a very nice day today!

Trey and Bella were very excited that the Easter Bunny came and left them a basket of candy along with a bucket of other treats!

We went to Mass and then had a family gathering here at our house for dinner! It was very nice!

Washington DC Day 2

Today was a rainy day in Washington DC. We went to the Smithsonian Museum - Air and Space Museum. We also went to lunch at Ella's which was fabulous! Before heading home, we visited a few smaller museums like the castle.

Of course, we had to take a picture of these when we saw them! They are Kristi Yamaguchi's figure skates!

Washington DC

Today we drove to Washington DC as a family.

We visited the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, which the kids really loved!

We also took a walk around the National Mall.
The kids got to see the White House, the Capital Building, the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. They were not too impressed with these historic sights!

Beautiful Skating Princess!

Our little princess did it! Bella skated in her first figure skating show!

Mommy was a little nervous after Bella fell twice during her warm up. I wasn't sure she would want to go back out there in front of several hundred people. But she did it! And with a smile on her face, our little skater performed to "It's a Small World" and did a great job! She was very excited and wants to do it again!

Way to go Bella!

Poor Trey had his "first" t-ball game cancelled AGAIN! I hope the boys get some more practices and games in before the end of the season. Thus far, they only had 2 practices with everything else being cancelled due to rain!

Spring Has Sprung!

What a beautiful day today! It went up to 80 degrees! These are the daffodils on our front lawn!

With spring comes Spring colds! Mommy spent 3 hours napping today trying to get rid of her cold. I did feel much better afterwards though!

Spring injuries are also bound to occur. The kids gym class was held outside today and poor Trey got a really bad scrap on his hip. It looks very raw and painful and it hurts him to bend over. On a positive note, the staff at Saint Elizabeth School continues to impress me! The principal Mrs. Dougherty walked Trey to the car to tell me what happened and how brave Trey was while Mrs. Doughter and Mrs. Oulten cleaned it out for him. Then Mrs. Kasper, Trey's assistant teacher also ran to the car to tell me. We were also flagged down while pulling out of car line by the Gym teacher, Mrs. Nawn. The staff at this school truly care about the children as if they were their own! We could not be more blessed!

After school, Trey finally had his second t-ball practice. The rain has cancelled all of the rest, with the exception of the very first practice, thus far. Trey did great and really liked it! After practice he told me he wants to play t-ball every day!

We won!

Mommy and Grandmom went to the South Jersey Mother's of Multiples Appreciation Luncheon today! We had a wonderful time sitting with Brenda, Jackie, Michelle and their families.

Even better, we WON three baskets! First, Grandmom won a Chili Basket, filled with Chili Mix, a Chili pot, bowls and a few candles. Then, Mommy won a basket full of summer fun for boys! It was filled with chalk, a boogie board, and some spider man toys. Finally, Mommy won and American Girl Doll - Kanani! We were thrilled and shocked!

Both Trey and Bella were so excited when we got home! They immediately opened their baskets to play with their new toys! It was a successful day!

Bishop McIntyre's Visit

Bishop McIntyre came to Saint Elizabeth School today! The kids prepared for his visit all week!

In the morning, Bella told Mommy that her belly hurt. When Mommy asked if Bella wasn't feeling and needed to stay home, she said that she was okay and wanted to go to school. Mommy asked Bella if she was nervous about something, Bella said, "The Bishop is saying Mass today at school!" Trey's response, "Bel, he's JUST a PRIEST!"

Mommy spent the day at school today with Trey and Bella's classroom. First, it was Spring Craft Day, then just helping out in the classroom! The Bishop came to the classroom. He was great with the children and even allowed them to ask questions. Mommy enjoyed going to Mass with the Kindergarten class. Then it was time for the teachers to eat lunch with the Bishop, so Mommy and another homeroom mother spent some time in the classroom with the kids during and after lunch.

It was fun! Maybe Mommy should become a Kindergarten teacher!

Busy weekend

We had a very busy family weekend!

Friday night, we had a relaxing family night! We made popcorn and watched Megamind. The kids and I had seen it before, but it was Daddy's first time.

After the kids went to bed, Mommy and Daddy watched The Black Swan. It was...interesting! Not quite sure why it won so many awards. I have definitely seen better films.

Saturday morning, Bella had ice skating, but Trey's t-ball game was cancelled once again since the ground is still too wet. In the afternoon, the top soil was delivered along with the mulch, so we worked hard to get our new garden ready! We will be planting carrots, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, and lettuce. We put them inside the yard, so I am hoping the deer leave them alone!

Sunday after Mass, we went to see the Downingtown West High School Musical "The Phantom of the Opera"! The cast and orchestra did a FANTASTIC job! It was incredible! The girl who played Christine was wonderful. The kids were very excited to have a back stage tour during the intermission. They got to touch the boat, stand on the "Masquerade" steps, and touch many of the props! They even got to meet most of the main characters. Bella's face just lit up when she met "Christine". When we got home, the kids played outside for a while, then came inside to put on their own production of Phantom. They are so adorable singing the songs. Apparently seeing the show live wasn't enough...we watched the movie before bed!

April Fools Day

It's snowing outside!

I wish I could say "April Fools!", but nope, it really is snowing in April!

This is what we woke up to this morning! The kids were very excited...Trey even asked if he could stay home from school to play in the snow!

Spring Picture Day!

Today is spring picture day at Trey and Bella's school! Mommy made sure to take some photos before they left since I have forgotten to take pictures of so many things lately!

Bella chose to wear a Gymboree dress with dogs all over it! She has the matching barrettes and Mommy thinks she looks adorable!

Trey is my funny guy! He has a bin full of Gymboree clothing for this summer, yet he chose a shirt that I got at another store on clearance at the end of the year for 97 cents! At least he paired them with nice Gymboree shorts, which match very nicely!

I hope the kids don't go outside today for recess or lunch! I did send pants to school with each of them, but if they forget to put them on, they will be freezing!

Trey had his first t-ball practice yesterday and did great! He did really well at hitting the ball! We need to oil his glove because it was quite stiff, and made it difficult for him to catch the ball properly. Oh, and Mommy cannot find his bat! During the winter, I put the kids t-ball bats away for safe-keeping. Apparently, I chose a really good spot. I tore the house apart and cannot find them anywhere! Of course, Mommy forgot the camera!

I did remember to take a photo of Trey's soccer team at his last GEYA Winter Soccer game on Friday night though!

Busy weekend

It was a very busy weekend, despite not really having and plans!

Trey's t-ball was cancelled since the field was just too wet to play on. He will now have his first practice tomorrow. He is very excited to start playing.

Bella had skating on Saturday. She is very excitedly working on her program for her first show on April 16th. She has a solo, and will be skating to "It's a Small World".

Trey had a lot of fun at his friend Andrew's 6th birthday party while Mommy took Bella to the rink.

After we got home, all 5 of us (Grandmom included), went to the movies to see Rango. It was terrible! And definitely not a movie for kids despite its PG Rating. We followed that up with dinner at Hoss's, which was also terrible! LOL!

Sunday was filled with Church, then running errands and having family time.

It seems the weekend just flew by! Now its Monday, and Mommy has a ton of stuff on her to do list while the kids are at school!

Friday, March 25, 2011

College Day at Kindergarten!

Trey and Bella's school is having "College Day"! They were very excited this morning to be able to wear their Villanova Shirts today school, especially since their teacher Mrs. Shrader went to Villanova! Too bad that Villanova is no longer in the NCAA tournament this year :(

Trey has his last GEYA Winter Indoor Soccer game tonight at United Sports Training Center. He really did well playing this season!

Moving to a new Blog!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to our new blog!

I am considering getting rid of the webpage that I started six years ago for Trey and Bella, so I am trying this blog! The main reason is that I do not get to update it often, and haven't for quite some time. I want to get back into it, without having to pay for the site and domain name, but I don't want to loose the info! I am going to post it here and see how this goes!

Thanks for reading along!

Heather
