Trey and Bella got out of school early today for Easter Break. Grandmom came over and we took the kids to see the new movie Hop, which was really cute!

After Daddy came home we dyed Easter Eggs!

Wonderful Day

I realized today how much I truly miss my kids! They had the day off from school today and we had a wonderful day together!

We planted a vegetable garden in the backyard - carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, broccoli and peppers! I can't wait to see all of the wonderful results! We also planted some pretty flowers out front.

Of course, after all of that the kids were dirty, so Mommy had to squirt them down with the hose! They retaliated by soaking me!

Then we had lunch and ran some errands. The kids were really good.

This afternoon, we had some "Mommy school". The kids did some math pages and some journeling. Then we read Junie B. Jones has a Monster Under her Bed. Oh, we did a science experiment as well! We put some mentos in a bottle of soda and watched it exploded! The kids did a great job writing down their scientic observations in their journels.

Mommy took some photos of Trey and Bella today and they took some of one another.

Trey and Bella did Mommy's hair today and insisted on taking photos!

Mommy cannot wait until summer is here and I have Trey and Bella here with me every day!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We had a very nice day today!

Trey and Bella were very excited that the Easter Bunny came and left them a basket of candy along with a bucket of other treats!

We went to Mass and then had a family gathering here at our house for dinner! It was very nice!

Washington DC Day 2

Today was a rainy day in Washington DC. We went to the Smithsonian Museum - Air and Space Museum. We also went to lunch at Ella's which was fabulous! Before heading home, we visited a few smaller museums like the castle.

Of course, we had to take a picture of these when we saw them! They are Kristi Yamaguchi's figure skates!

Washington DC

Today we drove to Washington DC as a family.

We visited the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, which the kids really loved!

We also took a walk around the National Mall.
The kids got to see the White House, the Capital Building, the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. They were not too impressed with these historic sights!

Beautiful Skating Princess!

Our little princess did it! Bella skated in her first figure skating show!

Mommy was a little nervous after Bella fell twice during her warm up. I wasn't sure she would want to go back out there in front of several hundred people. But she did it! And with a smile on her face, our little skater performed to "It's a Small World" and did a great job! She was very excited and wants to do it again!

Way to go Bella!

Poor Trey had his "first" t-ball game cancelled AGAIN! I hope the boys get some more practices and games in before the end of the season. Thus far, they only had 2 practices with everything else being cancelled due to rain!

Spring Has Sprung!

What a beautiful day today! It went up to 80 degrees! These are the daffodils on our front lawn!

With spring comes Spring colds! Mommy spent 3 hours napping today trying to get rid of her cold. I did feel much better afterwards though!

Spring injuries are also bound to occur. The kids gym class was held outside today and poor Trey got a really bad scrap on his hip. It looks very raw and painful and it hurts him to bend over. On a positive note, the staff at Saint Elizabeth School continues to impress me! The principal Mrs. Dougherty walked Trey to the car to tell me what happened and how brave Trey was while Mrs. Doughter and Mrs. Oulten cleaned it out for him. Then Mrs. Kasper, Trey's assistant teacher also ran to the car to tell me. We were also flagged down while pulling out of car line by the Gym teacher, Mrs. Nawn. The staff at this school truly care about the children as if they were their own! We could not be more blessed!

After school, Trey finally had his second t-ball practice. The rain has cancelled all of the rest, with the exception of the very first practice, thus far. Trey did great and really liked it! After practice he told me he wants to play t-ball every day!

We won!

Mommy and Grandmom went to the South Jersey Mother's of Multiples Appreciation Luncheon today! We had a wonderful time sitting with Brenda, Jackie, Michelle and their families.

Even better, we WON three baskets! First, Grandmom won a Chili Basket, filled with Chili Mix, a Chili pot, bowls and a few candles. Then, Mommy won a basket full of summer fun for boys! It was filled with chalk, a boogie board, and some spider man toys. Finally, Mommy won and American Girl Doll - Kanani! We were thrilled and shocked!

Both Trey and Bella were so excited when we got home! They immediately opened their baskets to play with their new toys! It was a successful day!

Bishop McIntyre's Visit

Bishop McIntyre came to Saint Elizabeth School today! The kids prepared for his visit all week!

In the morning, Bella told Mommy that her belly hurt. When Mommy asked if Bella wasn't feeling and needed to stay home, she said that she was okay and wanted to go to school. Mommy asked Bella if she was nervous about something, Bella said, "The Bishop is saying Mass today at school!" Trey's response, "Bel, he's JUST a PRIEST!"

Mommy spent the day at school today with Trey and Bella's classroom. First, it was Spring Craft Day, then just helping out in the classroom! The Bishop came to the classroom. He was great with the children and even allowed them to ask questions. Mommy enjoyed going to Mass with the Kindergarten class. Then it was time for the teachers to eat lunch with the Bishop, so Mommy and another homeroom mother spent some time in the classroom with the kids during and after lunch.

It was fun! Maybe Mommy should become a Kindergarten teacher!

Busy weekend

We had a very busy family weekend!

Friday night, we had a relaxing family night! We made popcorn and watched Megamind. The kids and I had seen it before, but it was Daddy's first time.

After the kids went to bed, Mommy and Daddy watched The Black Swan. It was...interesting! Not quite sure why it won so many awards. I have definitely seen better films.

Saturday morning, Bella had ice skating, but Trey's t-ball game was cancelled once again since the ground is still too wet. In the afternoon, the top soil was delivered along with the mulch, so we worked hard to get our new garden ready! We will be planting carrots, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, and lettuce. We put them inside the yard, so I am hoping the deer leave them alone!

Sunday after Mass, we went to see the Downingtown West High School Musical "The Phantom of the Opera"! The cast and orchestra did a FANTASTIC job! It was incredible! The girl who played Christine was wonderful. The kids were very excited to have a back stage tour during the intermission. They got to touch the boat, stand on the "Masquerade" steps, and touch many of the props! They even got to meet most of the main characters. Bella's face just lit up when she met "Christine". When we got home, the kids played outside for a while, then came inside to put on their own production of Phantom. They are so adorable singing the songs. Apparently seeing the show live wasn't enough...we watched the movie before bed!

April Fools Day

It's snowing outside!

I wish I could say "April Fools!", but nope, it really is snowing in April!

This is what we woke up to this morning! The kids were very excited...Trey even asked if he could stay home from school to play in the snow!
